Meet Our Executive Leaders

Ross Williams is Head of Hyundai Capital Americas Region and joined the Hyundai Capital America (HCA) family in February 2010 as HCA’s Vice President and Department Head of Commercial Credit. He became Vice President and Department Head of Sales and Marketing before moving to Hyundai Capital Canada to serve as their President & CEO.

After a year in Toronto, Ross returned to HCA where he was the President & CEO from July of 2015 to March of 2023. Prior to joining Hyundai Capital, Ross held leadership positions at GE Capital and Deutsche Bank. Ross earned his BA in Finance from Michigan State University.

Marcelo Brutti is President & Chief Executive Officer at HCA, a $50 Billion auto finance company supporting the financial services needs of Hyundai Motor America, Genesis Motor America, and Kia America. Through the Hyundai Motor Finance®, Genesis Finance®, and Kia Finance America® brands, HCA offers installment loans, leasing, and financing products to consumer and business customers across the U.S., as well as inventory, real estate, and operating capital financing for Hyundai, Genesis, and Kia dealerships. Under Marcelo’s leadership, HCA effectively serves more than 2 million customers and more than 1,600 dealers nationwide.

Prior to HCA, Marcelo held various leadership roles at City National Bank, Santander Bank, TD Bank, Visa, and Wells Fargo. Beyond his extensive experience and successful leadership in financial services, Marcelo has also served on the Board of Directors for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Orange Coast since 2017 and currently holds the position of President of the Board of Directors. He is also an adjunct professor at George Mason University for the CRO Certification Program and serves on their Advisory Council. Marcelo earned an MBA in Finance from Florida Atlantic University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Business Management from Washington College.

Andrew Leone is Chief Commercial Officer at HCA where he is responsible for finance and insurance sales, product development and marketing efforts that drive business growth and strengthen relationships with our OEM and dealer partners.

Andrew began his career at HCA in 2008 and has held leadership roles in Mobility, Sales, Human Resources, Insurance, Commercial Credit and Risk. Prior to joining HCA, Andrew held roles with multinational companies in the automotive and finance sectors including Daimler, Chrysler, and Nissan.  Andrew received his Doctor of Education in Organizational Change and Leadership from the University of Southern California, MS in Finance from Boston University, MBA from DePaul Driehaus College of Business, and BS in Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He is also fluent in Mandarin Chinese, having both worked and studied in Beijing, PRC.

Kwan Mook Lim is Chief Financial Officer at HCA with responsibility for HCA’s financial planning, operations, and reporting. He oversees the accounting, tax, treasury, and corporate planning functions. He has been with Hyundai Capital for over 22 years and held various finance roles since 1999. Previous roles include Director, Financial Planning & Analysis at HCA, Head of Management Planning Department and Head of Global Finance Department at Hyundai Capital Services, Deputy managing director of HCUK, and CEO of Hyundai Capital Canada.

Kwan Mook graduated from Sung Kyun Kwan University in Korea, majoring in Law.

Daniel Novotny is the Chief Operations Officer (COO) at Hyundai Capital America and has been with the organization since 2014. During his tenure, Daniel has held leadership roles in HCI, Remarketing, and Collections and Consumer Risk.

Prior to joining HCA, Daniel held roles as a Principal at The Boston Consulting Group’s Los Angeles office with a focus on Financial Services and Industrial Goods clients and as a counter-terrorism analyst at the Central Intelligence Agency. Daniel received his MBA from The University of Chicago and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Cornell University.

Johan Swart is Chief Information Officer at HCA.  He oversees all IT operations and services and also guides strategic initiatives spanning IT infrastructure, application rationalization, and digital transformation to ensure technology investments are aligned with business needs. Prior to joining HCA in 2021, he spent over 20 years at Mercedes-Benz with various executive roles including CIO, Daimler Truck Financial Services and CIO, Mercedes-Benz Financial Services Americas.

With deep auto captive experience, Johan was a 2016 recipient of the Automotive All-Star Award from Automotive News. He holds a degree in Information Technology from Tshwane University of Technology.

James Vincent is acting Chief Risk Officer at HCA and is responsible for Originations and Portfolio Risk across HCA’s consumer and commercial business lines. James also leads HCA’s Information Protection and Privacy groups, which keep HCA safe from external bad actors.

James began his career at HCA in 2016 and has held leadership roles in Enterprise Risk Management, Consumer Risk, Collections, and Consumer Credit. Prior to joining HCA, he held roles as Senior Vice President, Director of Risk Appetite and Risk Identification at Santander Bank and Vice President of Enterprise Risk Management at Citizens Bank. James received his Bachelor of Science degree in Management and Finance from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. 

Andrea Gildea is General Counsel of HCA, where she leads the Legal and Compliance teams.

Prior to joining HCA in 2024, Andrea held various leadership roles with her most recent role as Global Head of Legal at Wise plc (formerly TransferWise). Andrea has over 18 years of legal, regulatory, and public policy experience largely in the financial services and technology sectors. Andrea started her career as a law clerk for the Chief Judge of the US Bankruptcy Court in New York City and was an associate at Davis Polk and Covington & Burling LLP.  She received her Juris Doctor from Brooklyn Law School where she graduated Magna Cum Laude.
